scoring for musicals
Working with veteran playwrite Reggie Bruce
While working a part time job at Starbucks in L.A, Mark met verteran playwrite Reggie Bruce, who invited him to convert one of his scripts "The Gleam In Their Eyes" into a rock musical. After completing scores of music they began shopping the idea to a few in Reggies' circle with a demo reel. They then began to work on a new script and music, a dark comedy based on actual events, "Martha Washington Must Die". Reggie liked Marks ideas for the musical, his command of the English language, dialogue and discriptions of the scenes. He, consequently, asked Mark to "Take the lead" as Reggie contributed with music and situational ideas for the musical. After Mr. Bruce's unfortunate passing in Sept of 2021, and although they weren't able to get the vocalists they'd wanted, Mark released his first album, a collection of music and songs from these scripts.
